School Tours

From Turoe to Achill Island

This year for our School Tour Day we visited many exciting venues. Our infants went to Turoe Pet Farm, 1 st and 2 nd classes went to Dartfield. Our senior classes went to Achill Adventures. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a marvellous time. Thank you to all of our pupils who were so well behaved, to our parents for having the children dropped off and collected on time, to our host venues and last but not least to all of our teachers who organised the day and accompanied the many classes on tour.

Sports and Fun Day

Run, run as fast as you can !!

We all participated in a wonderful day of "Fun 'N Run" on Wednesday, 10th June 09. This year our pre-school joined us in our activities in 'The Plots.' We were very fortunate with the weather and everyone there had lots of exercise and fun! Thank you to Mrs. Ryan for the lovely treats. They were enjoyed by all!

Ollie pays us a visit!

A special start and visitors to our Annual Sports and Fun Day

This year we had a wonderful start to our Sports Day. Ollie , the guide dog who is now in retirement and his owner Frank came to talk to us. Frank told us some fantastic facts and stories in relation to Guide Dogs. We really enjoyed Frank and Ollie's visit. The talk was very informative. We learned alot! Thank you Ollie and Frank. Continued success to the Irish Guide Dog Association.

Ahoy there! We went sailing!

Visiting the Volvo Ocean Race

All of our classes went to the Galway Harbour, known locally as 'The Docks' to sample the atmosphere and excitement of the Volvo Ocean Race. While there, we were given a tour of the area and a presentation about the various boats. The sun shone brightly and we thoroughly enjoyed this 'Special School Day!'

Christmas Carol Singing and Playing!

Carol Singing in the Eyre Square Centre

Every Christmas our school choir and band perform in local shopping centres and at 'The Live Crib.' We really enjoy these events annually. All of us work very hard and we are very proud of the wonderful music that we create. Our school band performs for several school events during our school year:

Halloween

We hold a Fancy Dress parade in our school for Halloween. Have a look at us if you are not too scared!
